Artizan Street Library Maker Space
Artizan Street Library's new Maker Space is now open: a special hub for digital design, craft and learning. Visitors are able to print in 3D and, by using other equipment provided including electronic sewing machines and laptops, gain computer programming and textile skills. Main Hall
Dimensions: approximately 85m squared.
Maximum capacity: 50 people seated.
Suitable for: art classes, dance workshops, large meetings etc.

- Small side kitchen.
- Tables and chairs available for self set-up.
- Large windows, wall mirrors.
- Flipchart, projector and screen on request.
Charges
£50 per hour (standard rate); £25 per hour (rate for charities).
Multi Room
Dimensions: 56m squared.
Maximum capacity: 35 people seated, 20 people exercise/dance.
Suitable for: exercise and dance classes, workshops and meetings etc.
Features:
- Wall mirrors, sprung floor and collapsible partition wall.
- Tables and chairs available for self set-up.
- Flipchart, projector and screen on request.
Charges
£50 per hour (standard rate); £25 per hour (rate for charities).
Treatment Room
Maximum capacity: three people.
Suitable for one-to-one interviews or therapy sessions, video calls etc.

Charges
£20 per hour (standard rate); £10 per hour (rate for charities).

Room hire requests should be submitted via our Online Booking Form.
Please note: All bookings are provisional until you have signed and returned the room hire paperwork. A minimum of 21 days notice must be given to cancel bookings.

If you would like to sponsor our programmes for adults and children, please consider making a donation to our libraries. 100% of all monies received from donations comes to the Barbican and Community Libraries service.

- Side entrance (Gravel Lane) to first floor hall has lift access (for out of hours access only).

- Staircases within the library have handrails on both sides, and contrast threads.
Ground floor community room:
- Step free.
First floor community room:
- Accessible by lift.
- Corridor via lift and ramp from 1st floor Gravel Lane ranges from 1m to 1.55m.

Fire doors in the corridor are heavy and all have 300mm clearance to the pull side of the door.
Ground floor:
- A public toilet is available on the ground floor with wheelchair access and includes baby changing facilities. It is approximately 2.94msq.
- It is situated in the library and available for use by all visitors.
- It is 4.81m from ground floor community room.
- There also two all-gender toilets in the community room which can be used by all visitors - except when the hall is occupied for bookings or events.
First floor
- A public toilet is available on the 1st floor with wheelchair access and includes baby changing facilities. It is approximately 5.41msq. It is operated by radar key.
- It is 8m from first floor community room.
- There are also two men's and two women's toilets.
- They are 10m from first floor community room.
- These are not publicly accessible and are only used by those hiring the space.
