Visit SBREC
Access
SBREC has step‑free access into the building, with all internal room entrances also step‑free. The lower ground floor, including meeting rooms, can be reached via the stairs or internal accessible lift. There are handrails on both sides of the stairs and there is contrast on the treads and risers. Please note there is a slight slope on the ground floor leading towards the stairs, lift and ground‑floor meeting room.
The main corridors throughout the Centre vary in width due to the layout of the building, but there is sufficient space for wheelchair users to pass one another. The only exception is the ground‑floor approach to the lift, where space allows for a single wheelchair user at a time. The doors to the Bamboo Boardroom and Magnolia Meeting Room are heavier and offer limited manoeuvrability, though they can be propped open if required to support easier access.
There is one wheelchair‑accessible toilet, operated by a Radar key. As the Centre is open only to those aged 16 and over, baby‑changing facilities are not provided. There is no Changing Places toilet on site.
An induction loop is available at Reception.
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Centre.
The Centre does not include a community room.
Signage within the Centre is consistent, though not provided in braille or tactile lettering.
