We can come to you!
We offer free bespoke business start-up and market research training to a wide range of organisations including schools, colleges, universities, business support agencies and community groups.
We will tailor our sessions to suit the needs of your group to ensure participants get the best understanding of how to create a successful business. With our experience of working with a diverse audience, we will ensure the session adds value to the start of any entrepreneurship journey. Please see below for some examples of our work with not-for-profit organisations.
Since 2019, we have supported the London Careers Festival, running workshops for groups of secondary and post 16 students, which our business advisers have developed to meet the needs of the students. The workshops allow students to participate in the discussions and planning of starting a business, giving them an idea of what it might mean to be your own boss.
Working closely with a number of universities, we've organised and run an event tailored for young entrepreneurs with a focus on funding.
Business advisers recently ran a training session on how to use market research for business planning to students on a business course with the AFK Charity that supports people with disabilities.
The King's Trust offers support to 18 to 30-year-olds who want to turn their big ideas into a business through the Enterprise Programme. Our business advisers support the young entrepreneurs through regular online training sessions on the free resources available, showing them how to make the most of their business research.
Business advisers also provide training for similar organisations including The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN), St Luke's Community Centre, and Seeds Hub.
We will arrange the sessions for a time that is suitable for you and your group, and can be done either in person or via Zoom. Email the Small Business Research + Enterprise Centre for more information.
