You must serve a temporary event notice (TEN) to hold a one-off licensable event at a premises that does not have an active authorisation for the sale of alcohol, provision of regulated entertainment, or the provision of late night refreshment.

You may use temporary event notices (TENs) to extend licensable activities permitted by a premises licence or club premises certificate. There are restrictions that apply to temporary event notices, including the number of notices and event days in a calendar year that a premises may have.
