Anti-social behaviour and noise

The term anti-social behaviour (ASB) takes in a range of nuisances, disorder and crimes which affect people's lives. It looks different and feels different in every area and to every victim. What is considered anti-social by one person can be acceptable to another. The Home Office describes ASB as, 'any aggressive, intimidating or destructive activity that damages or destroys another person's quality of life'. For more information about ASB and support, please visit the Community Safety team's dedicated anti-social behaviour support page.

The City of London Environmental Health Noise Team will investigate the following noise nuisance for Golden Lane and Middlesex Street Estates:

  • Unreasonable noise from pubs, clubs, bars and live events
  • Noise from building sites or building works outside of permitted hours

For City of London Corporation Estates located outside of the City boundary, please contact the Environmental Health Noise Team for your Borough. More information about how to report noise nuisance is available in the leaflet below.
