Safeguarding and Prevent
Safeguarding the welfare of young people and adults is the responsibility of all organisations which engage in education and training.
At the Adult Skills and Education Service (ASES), we take this duty very seriously. We want our learners to thrive as they learn and develop. This means we are alert to the welfare of our learners, exercise professional judgement, and take timely and appropriate steps to support those who may be suffering harm.
In addition to ensuring learners are safeguarded while learning with us, we also play a role in managing risks learners may face in the wider community. This includes the Prevent agenda, which deals with risks of radicalisation.
