Designed for individuals with prior volunteering experience, this course explores planning, teamwork, safeguarding, and project evaluation within voluntary roles. Learners will reflect on their experiences and build a portfolio of evidence.
Progression route: further training in youth work, health & social care, or paid roles in the voluntary sector.

This Level 2 qualification is suitable for learners who are thinking about working as a volunteer and will provide them with an insight into the role and an awareness of the personal standards required of them whilst volunteering. It is also suitable for those learners who are already in a volunteering role and will enhance both their knowledge and skills. In these circumstances the learners could use their volunteering role to assist them to gather the evidence required.
*Learners should have a good command of English, ideally at Entry Level 3 or above to help complete the course.

Studying this qualification will develop practical accountancy skills in the double-entry bookkeeping system and in using associated documents and processes while gaining an understanding that digital accounting systems are automating some of the stages in the process. Students will cover transactions for accuracy, make entries in appropriate books and ledgers and calculate sales invoices and credit notes.

Important: a partial fee may be applied to those candidates that are in full-time employment and earn over the London living wage. This is also the case if a candidate is unable to provide sufficient evidence of unemployment support. More information on eligibility will be provided by a dedicated ASES staff member about this.
