Police Authority Committees

The Police Authority Board appoints a number of Committees to assist in the oversight and scrutiny Force. These include:
- Local Policing Committee (Previously- Strategic Planning and Performance Committee - scrutinising Policing Plan and performance)
- Professionalism and Trust Committee (Previously- Professional Standards and Integrity Committee - scrutinising professional standards, equalities and engagement, and determining review of complaints against the Force.)
- Economic Security and Cyber Crime Committee (Previously- Economic and Cyber Crime Committee - scrutinising the National Lead Force function)
- Resource and Estates Committee (Previously- Resource, Risk and Estates Committee – scrutinising budgets, resource deployment/workforce planning, major projects and risk)
The Board also appoints the Chair and Deputy Chair of the City of London Police Pensions Board, the body responsible for overseeing the police pension scheme.
All decisions are made by the Police Authority Board unless specifically delegated to a Committee and enshrined in its terms of reference.
Members of the Board are all expected to serve on at least one Committee. The role profile for the Committee Chair and the External Members are provided below.
